The process of collecting umbilical cord blood is painless, safe, and straightforward. Following the delivery of your baby, the umbilical cord will be clamped and cut, and then the remaining blood from the umbilical cord will be collected. This blood is then immediately sent for processing and quality checking. Once the sample is verified to be in a good condition it will be cryopreserved for 30 years.

The collection process is non-invasive and completely safe for both the mother and the baby. Trained healthcare provider will perform the collection immediately after the safe delivery of the baby ensuring no risk of bleeding or complication for either mother or baby.

Yes, there is a higher chance of being matched with your baby stem cells.

Your baby will always be a perfect match to his or her stem cells and may use them for numbers of diseases however not generally for any genetic condition. In those cases, a matched sibling stem cells may be the best choice.

We provide two options of banking: Public banking, and Family banking of umbilical cord stem cells.

Public banking – when you donate your baby’s umbilical cord blood and tissue stem cells for public use.
Family banking – storing your baby’s umbilical cord blood and tissue stem cells exclusively for your family’s future use.

Public banking is a resource made available for public use and research purposes, if the unit is not being utilized it may be reacquired and switched to family banking. However, please note that the associated expenses for storage and processing will be the responsibility of the individual.

Preferably after 20-22 weeks of pregnancy (5 months), you may start from registering on our mobile app to arrange your umbilical cord stem cell banking package of your choice.

The specific procedure for preparing the stem cell for transplantation varies depending on the package selected. The cord blood stem cells are readily available upon request. However, the cord tissue stem cells availability depends on the storage method and condition of the cord tissue (minced/isolated/expanded). To familiarize with our packages please refer here.

Minced State – preservation of a cord tissue, with the tissue being carefully prepared and cut into 2cm pieces then banked for future use, in liquid nitrogen (-196°C) for up to 30 years. 

Isolated State – this state is the next step after the minced state. It is preservation of the Stem Cells, dissociated from the tissue of origin, cultured and cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen (-196°C) for up to 30 years. 

Expanded State – this state is the next step after isolation. The isolated Stem Cells are kept and treated in favorable conditions for roughly 2-3 weeks, which lets the colonies of the cells to grow and expand in population. After reaching expected population of the cells they are cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen (-196°C) up to 30 years.

Passage Number – the passage number of a cell culture is a record of the number of times the culture has been sub cultured (transferred from one flask to another).
Passage 0 (P0): refers to the isolation of MSCs from umbilical cord tissue at passage 0 then cryopreserved.
Passage 1(P1): refers to the isolation and expansion of MSCs from umbilical cord tissue which allow preservation of the cells in increased number, then cryopreserved.
All states allow for the preservation of stem cell up to 30 years in liquid nitrogen (-196°C).

After childbirth, the package cannot be upgraded. However, you can change it any time during pregnancy.

Yes, we can ship the unit internationally with the cooperation of the hospital/transplant centre and the cost of shipment will be renumerated to the client/costumer.
